“You possess that ability to make everyone in the room feel as if you are teaching to them. It’s really an interesting and special quality. You made me feel seen, heard and cared for after a one-minute interaction.”

LIVE EVENT

Autumn 2023 Retreat

October 13-15, 2023 - FULL

WAITLIST OPEN

‘Finding Centre’ is the theme of our autumn retreat in October. This is a yoga with meditation retreat that includes silent times, but is not a silent retreat in the strict sense.

Many of us live in our periphery - the perimeter of our Self - always responding to others or doing doing doing. Even our insides are energetically directed outward, so much so, that when we take the time to look inside we may find the need for both quiet and stillness, as well as meaningful presence in connection.

This is the theme we explore in practice and conversation this weekend. Yoga practices will be responsive and accessible.

Schedule & Booking Details

  • From Friday October 13 - Sunday October 15, 2023, our retreat is hosted at Galilee Retreat Centre in Arnprior, Ontario - 40 minutes from downtown Ottawa.

  • $390 ($345.13 + 44.87 HST) covers all your material expenses, including meals and a private room. It does not include payment for the teacher(s).

    1. Click Register link below to send email.

    2. Please wait for reply confirming your spot is available.

    3. Send e-transfer with payment within 24 hours of confirmation email.

This retreat is offered in the spirit of the Buddhist practice of dana - material expenses are covered by retreat participants, but teaching fees are offered at the end of the retreat at the discretion of the practitioner. This allows more people to participate in retreat and gives us the opportunity to practice truthfulness and generosity. Some guidelines on dana will be provided.

If you cancel 4 or more weeks before a retreat begins, your registration fee will be refunded, less a $50 fee. ONLINE COURSE

Yoga Nidra Foundations

Yoga Nidra is a research-backed form of guided meditation with a specific approach and journey. Nidra is premised on supportive presence, making it ideal for practitioners feeling fatigued, over-whelmed, needing additional support, or who have experienced trauma. As a potent practice, we must know how to facilitate and support in a way that promotes self-realization responsibly. As Yoga Nidra helps various needs, we will explore a variety of approaches, different Nidra content styles, and intended audiences.

This course is for yoga teachers, therapists, counsellors, health professionals, parents, and anyone interested in guiding others to relax while learning how to be present with their minds.

How does it work?

Each module includes at least one video lecture, a different audio lecture, handouts, and Yoga Nidra recordings

Delivery is tailored to the content and there are weeks with more audio or video lectures

Each module is laid out clearly with a module overview for you to easily progress through the course at your own pace.

    • Module Two: An overview of Yoga Nidra history and culture, its surprising evolution on different continents, and interpretations including iRest. A variety of Yoga Nidra recordings to support inquiry included. We also discuss the koshas, the subtle anatomy through which we journey in a Yoga Nidra session
