This group may be eligible for reimbursement under extended health benefits that include group psychotherapy. Participants are encouraged to check with their insurance provider.
This 4-week series is offered as a therapeutic group, integrating elements of yoga, meditation, and somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and a felt sense of safety in the body.
While many of the practices draw from yoga and yoga nidra, this is not a yoga class. Rather, it is a clinically grounded, trauma-informed group experience designed to help you better understand and work with your internal states.
Each session will include teachings, accessible movement practices, as well as guided reflection and discussion. The focus is not on performance or technique, but on developing a more attuned, compassionate, and responsive relationship with yourself through body-mind practices and discovery.
You do not need any prior experience with yoga or meditation.
Over the course of the four weeks, we will explore:
How the nervous system organizes in response to stress and safety
Building internal resources and anchors for regulation
Increasing tolerance for sensation and emotional experience
Gently shifting patterns of reactivity, avoidance, or collapse
Cultivating a sense of steadiness that extends beyond the sessions
The group is facilitated by Kathryn Flynn, Registered Psychotherapist and founder of The Wren Centre. Kathryn’s approach is integrative and body-oriented, drawing on evidence-based psychotherapy modalities alongside contemplative and somatic practices.
Space is limited to support a contained and thoughtful group experience.

ONLINE COURSE
Yoga Nidra Foundations
Yoga Nidra is a research-backed form of guided meditation with a specific approach and journey. Nidra is premised on supportive presence, making it ideal for practitioners feeling fatigued, over-whelmed, needing additional support, or who have experienced trauma. As a potent practice, we must know how to facilitate and support in a way that promotes self-realization responsibly. As Yoga Nidra helps various needs, we will explore a variety of approaches, different Nidra content styles, and intended audiences.
This course is for yoga teachers, therapists, counsellors, health professionals, parents, and anyone interested in guiding others to relax while learning how to be present with their minds.
