Therapist & facilitator

Kathryn Anne Flynn

Kathryn Anne Flynn is an old soul - a smart, warm, and occasionally humorous Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and yoga educator living in Ottawa, Canada. Kathryn approaches therapy with an integrative, attachment-centric, trauma-informed lens. Drawing on attachment theory, dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP), her extensive background in body-mind practices, Brainspotting, and elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), she helps clients work through past experiences and present challenges. Kathryn works with children, adolescents, adults and families to explore their adaptive approaches to coping and collaboratively move beyond restrictive patterns. She brings 15 years experience as an educator, silent retreat leader, and author on yoga, Ayurveda and meditation.

Kathryn is a 500 ERYT certified teacher of Ayurvedic Yoga, Master of Arts in English, Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, certified in Brainspotting with Kids, and is completing certification as a DDP Consultant. Kathryn is a student of Buddhism, inspired by and greatly missing Michael Stone. She was also the host of the Intelligent Edge Yoga podcast. Kathryn has deep gratitude for her life’s blessings, including her family, her beautiful son Harvey, her forever-teacher and friend, Mona Warner, and all the students or clients who trust her to be a part of their journey.
