Teaching Skills

About the Course

The practice of teaching yoga is radically different than doing yoga, but it's still practice. Practice flourishes in the presence of curiosity, experimentation, and support - qualities that inspire this training.

Whether you are a new yoga or seasoned yoga teacher, this training offers you the opportunity to both share and refine your skills. In a collaborative learning setting, we will explore teaching techniques in the service of discovery. Our aim is not to determine what is good or bad teaching but to match certain approaches with specific outcomes, so participants may thoughtfully apply their skills.

Our in-person weekend will require some preparation from participants, which will be guided through video lectures and worksheets ahead of the weekend. The intention for the weekend is a convivial atmosphere where teachers enjoy sharing in various group sizes.

Your workshop this past weekend was informative, reflective, and inspiring. I very much appreciated the sense of community, along with everyone’s warmth and welcomeness. What a great feeling!
